Hi, I'm Arleen, Chief Creative Officer of AJH Leather Designs, a black and woman-owned accessories brand located in Georgia USA, which brings bespoke luxury to the forefront of fashion. My timeless designs bring a modern twist to retrospective nostalgia.  AJH Leather Designs is a sustainable brand creating pieces with the environment and the customer in mind. I use luxury certified sustainable Italian leather which is 25% or less fossil and 75% or more biobased content.

I worked diligently to become a master leathertier so that I can design and create the best items for my customers. In 2024, I was scouted by Dr. La'tifah Q. Muhammed to join The House of N'wan as an independent contributing designer. Since then, I have shown my items at New York Fashion Week, and am now a published designer with Getty Images and mentions in Cie Fashion Magazine to my credit. It all started with a showing in Atlanta in the GoodLyfe Atlanta Queens with Curves Fashion Show. Thank you, Mr. Calvin Johnson.

All AJH Leather Designs pieces are made-to-order, custom, or full couture. I do not carry ready-made inventory, as each item is designed and handcrafted exclusively by me—not mass-produced or outsourced. While I remain open to selective manufacturing partnerships in the future, my work is currently created entirely by hand in Studio AJH.

Because of this approach, I produce a limited number of pieces each year. This ensures exceptional quality, meticulous attention to detail, and a deeply personalized experience for every client.

Pricing begins at $1,000 and up for bespoke pieces within The Luxe Line, and $350 and up for the AlysaAmari Line. Final pricing is determined by design complexity, materials, and level of customization.

From initial concept and design to completion, the creation process typically takes 15 to 60 days, depending on the piece. Due to limited capacity, placement on the waiting list may take up to three months.

A reservation is required to secure your place in the production queue. A 50% deposit or full payment is required at the time of reservation. Once your payment is received, your project is officially scheduled.

Clients may cancel their order; however, the initial $1,000 bespoke reservation fee is non-refundable, as it secures design time, consultation, and project allocation. After payment, I will order materials and hardware, and begin production plans.

Legal clarification: All deposits, reservation fees, and bespoke payments are non-refundable and non-transferable once design work, material sourcing, or production planning has commenced.

AJH Leather Designs – Refunds & Returns Policy

At AJH Leather Designs, we take pride in crafting high-quality leather goods and want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If you are not happy with your order, please review our refunds and returns policy below.

Returns, Refunds, and exchanges are available exclusively for items purchased from the AlysaAmari Line.
All bespoke and Luxe Line pieces are handcrafted to order and are therefore final sale.

  • We accept returns within 14 days of delivery only in cases of damage and defects.
  • Items must be unused, in original condition, and in their original packaging.
  • Custom or personalized items cannot be returned, unless they arrive damaged or defective.
  • Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item was defective or incorrect.

Refunds

  • Once your return is received and inspected, we will process your refund within 5-7 business days.
  • Refunds will be issued to the original payment method.
  • Shipping costs are non-refundable, except in cases of defective or incorrect items.

Exchanges

  • We offer exchanges for items of equal value within 14 days of delivery, expect for bespoke and custom items.
  • If you need a different size or color, please contact us before sending the item back.

Damaged or Defective Items

  • If your item arrives damaged or defective, please email us at ajhleather@gmail.com within 7 days of delivery with photos of the issue.
  • We will replace or refund defective items at no additional cost to you.

How to Initiate a Return or Exchange

  1. Email us at ajhleather@gmail.com or ajhleather@womanvsleather-ajhleatherdesigns.com with your order number and reason for return/exchange.
  2. We will provide return instructions and a return address.
  3. Once we receive and inspect your item, we will process your refund or exchange.

This is due to the nature of bespoke orders. All materials are carefully inspected before an item is made. Any cancellation will result in a loss of materials and time. I thank you for your support and understanding.

Where items have been made or personalized (made-to-order, custom/bespoke, or full couture) for you, they are non-refundable unless defective. If you need to return an item, send us an email at our contact email address on this website and we will provide you with the address to return your items. Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
When you are returning items, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance.You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, other than for a faulty item, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
